Spring has sprung! That means it’s time for a new TBR, and this season, I’ve got a vast assortment of books making up a pretty hefty list.
The Spring TBR is as follows:
– The Complete Novels by Jane Austen (not sure yet how many of these, or even which ones, I’ll be reading)
– Black Leopard Red Wolf by Marlon James
– Shifter’s Wolf by Patricia Briggs (consisting of two books, Masques and Wolfsbane)
– Waking the Witch by Pam Grossman
– The Bird King by G. Willow Wilson
– The House Witch by Arin Murphy-Hiscock
When I come up with a reading list for a season, I like to include at least one book I’ve read before and enjoyed, in this case: Shifter’s Wolf. All of the remaining books are ones I either haven’t read or haven’t finished. For spring, I tried to choose books that remind me of flowers, colorful and vibrant—you’ll see that many of the covers feature bright colors or botanical designs. Typically for spring I also throw in Uprooted by Naomi Novik (and I can’t promise I won’t reread it again this year), which I highly recommend for a spring read—rife with magic, monstrous plants, and possibility.
Do you have any books you’ve read or are currently reading that remind you of spring? Would you be interested in a book review for any of the novels on my list? Let me know in the comments!
Thanks for reading.
